I just discovered a new brand of granola! Normally I would prefer to try a new recipe and make my own granola, but lately I have been wanting to try some packaged granolas (ready-made granolas) to broaden my tastes and see if they are any good.

The new granola I am trying right now is "Honey Nut Granola with Almonds", made by Sweet Home Farm in Eugene, Oregon. Check out my new company profile I have added for them, from within the Links & Resources page.

My opinion so far? I love this granola! This was made just for me - or at least it seems so. I love classic granola, and this has all the classic ingredients of oats, wheat, coconut, honey, and almonds.

Thanks for the question, David! While I have not had any problems leaving homemade granola out for several weeks, I think it is a good idea to keep it refrigerated for freshness. In the "Healthy Granola Recipe", Kathy Nichols does suggest storing it "...in the refrigerator in a large zip lock bag or other airtight container."

I hope that helps!

Just curious on your healthy granola recipe - it makes quite a bit and I'm wondering how long it can be stored? Does it need to be stored in the refrigerator? Thanks.
